The Battle For 2012 Summer Olympic Tickets

Every 4 years the entire world comes together for the most inclusive and comprehensive sporting competition that humanity has ever known. The eyes of the entire world will look to the host city and have their eyes fixed on the tracks, fields, pools, rivers and so on as the best athletes in the world compete for the ultimate glory of an Olympic gold medal. Getting 2012 summer Olympic tickets to see it live in the flesh is an experience not many can enjoy.

This year, the festival of sport and human achievement comes to London. For many people this makes the Olympics a more appealing ticket than ever. London has been one of the worlds most exciting cities since before anyone alive can remember, today it remains one of the worlds most important and exciting places to be, home to stars and luminaries from across the globe.

With some of the best food and shopping in the world, home to some of the most important fashion houses and designers, and some of humanities finest achievements, London is definitely a place worth visiting. Perhaps what makes London so appealing is the melting pot atmosphere, every nationality, race, color and religion is here, it is in a way the perfect places for the Olympics.

There is a small problem for those of you who are thinking about going to this incredible festival of the worlds sport that takes place in one of the worlds best cities next summer, you aren't the only person. Believe it or not half of the world also wants to see the events and it doesn't matter who you are, or how nice your smile is, if you don't have a ticket then you can't go to see the events.

Passes have already been released for general sale and were unsurprisingly all snapped up within a few hours, people in England love sport and even for those who are not so keen, seeing a global event like the Olympics live is a chance that most people only get once in their life unless they are super rich, or really really like sport. They may also work in hospitality or something which allows them to go to a lot of events, probably some other reasons as well, the point is that most people can't.

Two options are available for those who don't have tickets, either depending on luck, or paying highly over the odds to criminals. Although the public tickets quickly sold out, many agencies will have tickets, as will corporate organizations. For those with skill or charm it may be possible to either win tickets through some promotion or get some corporate tickets through connections.

The last resort for many is to buy a ticket from a tout or ticket agent who bought as many as they could to then sell on at a massive profit to gullible fans closer to the time. This should be discouraged as it is not only illegal, it is also anti social and exploitative.

If you don't have your 2012 summer Olympic tickets yet, then you will have trouble going to see any of the events unless you are rich, cunning, connected, or lucky. The important thing is to be at least one of those things.
