Question by green_eyed_gurl_03: I didn?t get a teaching job this year and now I have to wait a whole year to apply again. What should I do now
I have a bachelors degree and I am tripled certified in Elementary, Early Childhood, and special education. I don?t know what to do but not getting a job when people with less experince or who were backstabbers and told lies about other job candiates got jobs, it makes me feel very depressed and like a failure. Should I just get out of teaching altogether? It?s the only job I ever wanted to do and I worked so hard in college. I just graduated this summer. I was thinking maybe of trying to get a job at a daycare but they only pay minuim wage and I?ve been rejected so many times so maybe I?m just a huge failure and everybody knows that and doesn?t want to hire me. There are lots of openings around here for factories and secetary jobs. Should I try to work in a factory?

What about being a substitute teacher? That way you will get to know principals and other faculty members and when a job becomes available they will know you and recommend you for the position. I know several teachers who got their jobs this way!
