Garage sale to benefit LAPP, lost and found pets

Wichita Area Lost and Found Pets and Lifeline Animal Placement and Protection will hold their inaugural garage sale Saturday and Sunday at 220 N. Vine.

The sale is from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days and includes furniture, housewares, textiles and clothing, plus baked goods and dog grooming services.

Pets will be featured for adoption from LAPP, a nonprofit animal rescue and adoption kennel.

All proceeds will go to the two Wichita-based groups.

Fundraiser for LAPP invites people and pets

Mel Hambelton Ford will host a fundraiser for Lifeline Animal Placement and Protection, a local nonprofit animal rescue and adoption kennel, on June 15.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the dealership, 11771 W. Kellogg. It will feature free food and lots of activities for families and dogs, including contests, grooming, agility, a microchip clinic, face painting and paw painting.

All proceeds go to LAPP.

Tickets on sale for Mission Pawsible fundraiser

Tickets are on sale now for Mission Pawsible, a June 22 benefit for the Sedgwick County Animal Response Team.

The event, which includes live entertainment, heavy hors d?oeuvres, beer and wine, and silent and live auctions, is from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Forum Theatre, 147 S. Hillside.

Tickets are $55 and can be purchased at sedgwickcoart.org.
